Strawberry and Elderberry Forest Ginto

Strawberry and Elderberry Forest Ginto

Refreshing and fruity, a cocktail that tastes so much like Quebec...!

This summer, at the Festival des Bières du Monde in Saguenay, I bought the delicious Strawberry Elderberry syrup available at the Distillerie Mitis kiosk. It's made especially to accompany Gin Mugo, an excellent forest gin that I was able to taste on this occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz of Norkotié or Mugo Gin
  • 1 oz of strawberry and elderberry syrup
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 1642 Light Tonic water

Preparation:

  1. Pour directly into a glass full of crushed ice:
  2. 2 oz of Norkotié or Mugo Gin
  3. 1 oz of strawberry and elderberry syrup
  4. Lengthen with 1642 Light Tonic
  5. Stir lightly with a spoon and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary, to accentuate the coniferous flavours.

Cheers!
