Ingredients
- 1 bottle of 1642 Cola
- ½ oz cherry simple syrup (see below for instructions)
- 1 toothpick for decoration
- Maple Cola 1642
- Ice cubes
- Candies for decoration
For the cherry simple syrup:
- 4 oz cherry candies
- 4 oz water
- 1 oz honey
- 1 oz vanilla extract
Preparation (cherry syrup):
- Combine candy, water and honey in a small saucepan.
- Simmer over medium heat, stirring often to dissolve candy, but do not bring to a boil.
- Reduce temperature if necessary.
- When the cherries have dissolved, remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until use.
- Makes about 6 oz.
Preparation (mocktail):
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the cherry simple syrup and cola into a shaker in that order.
- Stir, then decorate the glass with a toothpick on which you've skewered cherry candies.
- Serve with a straw.
