Gin Tonic with wild blueberries

Ingredients 

       For the secret homemade blueberry juice syrup:

  • 250 mL (1 cup) Patience Fruit & Co wild blueberry juice
  • 250 mL (1 cup) sugar

       For gin tonic:

  • 1 1/2 oz of gin
  • 1/2 oz. homemade blueberry secret syrup
  • 3 oz of Tonic 1642
  • Thin slices of lime (for decoration)

Preparation:

       For the secret homemade blueberry juice syrup:

  1. In a saucepan,
  2. Pour in the wild blueberry juice and sugar.
  3. Heat over low heat until sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Allow to cool completely in the refrigerator (syrup can be stored up to 2 months in the refrigerator in an airtight bottle)

       For gin tonic:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Add gin and homemade syrup to blueberry juice.
  3. Mix with a bar spoon.
  4. Finish with tonic and garnish with a lime wedge.
