The Mystère de Cap-Chat cocktail features Pin Gris gin from the Cap-Chat distillery. The boreal notes of gin, combined with the sweetness of raspberry liqueur and limoncello, create a perfect balance of flavors. It's a cocktail that showcases three spirits, all the product of the Cap-Chat distillery's artisanal passion.
Basically, Pin Gris gin is distinguished by its complex, evocative character. Made from the needles of jack pine, it brings woody, resinous notes and forest freshness. Its aromatic richness makes it the ideal base for subtle, balanced pairings. Raspberry liqueur brings out the vivacity and sweetness of raspberries. It is both light and elegant, bringing a fruity edge that harmonizes well with the gin's resinous character. The limoncello adds a remarkable freshness that lifts the cocktail with a subtle hint of acidity and complexity.
Homemade syrups act as a bridge between spirits. The addition of mint in two forms (syrup and fresh leaves) reinforces an aspect of freshness reminiscent of fine summer days. Dashes of bitter cranberry add complexity, as their bitterness mingles with the other elements. They also allow you to play with the color of the blend. The light tonic 1642 adds an extra dimension of complexity and effervescence.
All in all, this cocktail is a fine balance of sweetness, acidity, bitterness and freshness, enhanced by herbal and fruity notes. It embodies Distillerie Cap-Chat's spirit of craftsmanship and innovation. When you make this wonderful cocktail, you'll experience a moment of pleasure and discovery!
