The cocktail's base is Gin Prélude Série Exploratoire from Distillerie Des Marigots. This gin, the result of unique craftsmanship, reveals a range of subtle, complex notes. Herbaceous and citrus accents emerge. Napoleon mandarin liqueur then adds a fruity dimension. Its sweet-tart flavor contrasts with and complements the gin's personality. Michel Jodoin apple liqueur plays an essential role, adding an extra fruity note. This contrast with the mandarin accentuates the fruity aspect of the cocktail without masking the aromatic identity initially set by the gin.
As for the lemon juice, it adds its acidity. It balances the sweetness provided by the liqueurs and homemade fig syrup. The light 1642 tonic adds delicate effervescence and balance to the cocktail.
