Basil Lemon

This cocktail name doesn't refer to lemon basil, which is an herb, but rather because the flavors of basil and lemon are present through the ingredients in the mix.

Ingredients 

  • 1.25 oz Gin Lime Basilic Distillerie 3 Lacs
  • 1 oz Limoncello Distillerie de Cap-Chat
  • 1 oz Lemon juice
  • 1 oz Basil syrup
  • Emulsifier
  • 4 to 5 basil leaves
  • Tonic 1642 Light
  • Basil leaf garnish

Preparation:

  1. Place all ingredients except Tonic in the base of a shaker.
  2. Fill with ice and shake the mixture
  3. Double-strain into the base of a shaker
  4. Add the emulsifier and make a dry shake
  5. Pour into a chilled cup containing 2 oz. of light 1642 tonic
  6. Decorate with a basil leaf
