The Flamme Du Jardin cocktail is a veritable garden in your glass. From the very first sip, Blue Pearl Distillery's Jardin Verde gin reveals the very essence of a garden, with its botanical and vegetal nuances and notes of basil, rosemary, mint and cucumber. The aromatic complexity of this gin is simply sublime. It's one of my must-haves. The presence of Noilly Prat dry Vermouth adds a refined, slightly bitter dimension, creating a perfect balance with the richness of the gin.
The originality of this cocktail also lies in the addition of an unexpectedly spicy touch by the presence of Chili Vodka, which is produced by Cirka Distillerie. This chili-infused vodka brings a warmth that contrasts with the resolutely vegetal freshness of the gin and vermouth.
To balance this blend, lemon juice lends the necessary acidity, while homemade basil and coriander syrups embody fresh garden herbs. The sweet, aromatic basil syrup enhances the gin's green hints, while the coriander syrup adds a slightly spicy, lemony, almost floral note. The addition of five fresh basil leaves intensifies the aromatic dimension of the blend. Finally, the light tonic 1642 completes the cocktail with fine, refreshing bubbles. The use of cucumber tonic is also an interesting alternative.
Flamme du Jardin is a cocktail that blends high-end spirits with the delicate freshness of herbs and citrus.
